Bunker of Zion
Bunker of Zion brings together an underground collective of artists to tell their incredible stories. Through energetic live music, dance, and song, you will experience a colourful celebration of Zimbabwean culture.
Set in a world where music is forbidden, the Bunker is a centre for joy, a meeting place, a defiant celebration of culture in a hostile world.
Bunker of Zion has been developed with artists and communities nationally with the Collaborative Touring Network. People from Wigan, Torbay, Peterborough, Thanet, Medway, Gloucester and Scarborough have shared their stories and talents to make this show. Bunker of Zion Workshops
John Pfumojena is a Mbira and Marimba musician, actor and composer. His practice is concerned with exploring the ancient art of Mbira music for contemporary audiences, storytelling and collaboration.
John and an ensemble of performers are coming to Matson, Gloucester to run workshops with the Gloucestershire based artist JPDL, alongside a community cast!

The year they were born scientists confirmed a skeleton buried under a car park in Leicester was the English king Richard III. Since then it’s been an eventful nine years; Brexit, Minecraft, a climate change emergency, Donald Trump, COVID-19. But what do they remember and what was actually important to them?
When they turn 18 the year will be 2031. What will the world be like by then?
This new project from Bootworks Theatre Company is supported by GL4 and Strike a Light and will comprise of workshops with children from the local area who will then perform on the Saturday evening. The project will strive to champion the voices, perspectives, and world-views of local young people.

After not being able to perform for the last 3 years due to COVID-19... Mix & Move is back!
Join us for a fabulous showcase of our Youth Participation Groups in this years Mix & Move.
There will be performances by GL4's and Strike A Light's Youth Theatre Groups. GL1 Youth Dance Juniors and Youth Dance Company will also be performing as well as BEATS music group alongside Multi-Story Orchestra. We have also been working with pupils from Robinswood Primary School to create a piece for Mix & Move.

Our Dancing Shadows
VR headsets, gold coats and a massive gantry are landing in Matson. Dance through outer space in the middle of the green on the estate! 👨🚀
Our Dancing Shadows explores two sides of the same experience, one in VR and the other watching on. It uses the latest VR technology to enable people to collaborate in the same virtual world at once, untethered and outside.
You can choose to watch the dancers and/or be a dancer yourself. If you choose to dance, you’ll take to the stage wearing a VR headset. You do not need to have experienced VR before in order to be a dancer, or have any experience of dance. It is not a competitive environment. If you choose to be a dancer in the VR experience you will find yourself guided through a gentle, poetic VR world.

The Rainbow Project
Filstkit Theatre will be running a new series of colourful, fun family play sessions all based around the colours of the rainbow. We will move and Dance! We will play games together!
